181 - Where does my day go?

Seriously, I want to know. As I'm living it, I feel like I have a pretty full day, but when someone asks, 'what did you do this weekend?' I can't come up with a damn thing. Actually it's not surprising... on any given day when confronted with a question like 'what did you do this weekend?', or 'how's it going?', my mind tends to blank out... I think "interrogation!" and shut down... or maybe it's just the vastness of the question... there are no parameters. 'Did you have a good weekend?' That's a simple question -- yes, it was great, thanks for asking. As for my weekend, my life is just a series of small episodes that end up taking up bits and pieces of time here and there, but there's rarely anything really exciting going on. It's all in how you spin it.
I'm going to fess up... I am developing a crush Bear Grylls... Man vs. Wild is certainly interesting, but I find myself distracted... I'm looking at his face thinking what a perfect face he has. And then he takes his shirt off... He's capivating. *drool* I realize this makes me a silly girl, that's fine -- I am a silly girl. Ah well. It's on the DVR list now. I learned how to get out of a swamp today. =)

Welp, just about to head out and meet the folks for lunch. Indian today. Yummy food, and a free colonic. Speaking of which, I don't think my body likes Truvia. I thought maybe it was the coconut oil capsules, but I didn't take one this morning, and I split a packet of Truvia between my cottage cheese and my almond milk. You shouldn't piss through your ass. That's all I'm saying, sorry for the visual. Maybe I'll try Agave nectar instead. I'm trying to get away from sugar, but there are prices I'm not willing to pay...

Wish I had something better to leave you with... go read another blog to cleanse your palate. I recommend Kato's, it'll take your mind off your troubles.

  1. I love watching Bear Grylls. Did you ever see the Oprah show when he was on! It was amazing!!!
I do have to say that I prefer Les Stroud of Survivorman. He had a special on the Green Network called Off The Grid... very eye opening. I think you's like it a lot. Bear is much easier on the eyes, though!
I have heard mixed things from the FDA about Truvia...

  3. According to scientists who analyzed Truvia, it is 9/10 of 1% Rebiana and masking agent. It should be said that Rebiana is not an ingredient in the stevia plant, nor is it found in nature. It is produced by the action of chemicals and stringent alcohols on various stevia glycosides. Rebiana is simply the trade name Cargill gave their chemically derived product in 2008. The FDA “No Questions” letter states that Rebiana contains residues of ethanol and methanol. Rebiana is commonly confused with Rebaudioside-A (Reb-A). Reb-A is one of the 11 glycoside compounds naturally within the stevia leaf and is about 400 times sweeter than sugar. It is produced by the action of sunlight on the leaves. The other 99.1% of Truvia is erythritol, a sugar extracted from corn with alcohol(a sugar alcohol), which can be hard on the digestive system. Cargill has admitted that 30% of their corn is genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Truvia is essentially corn sugar, and is not really a stevia product.

  4. I like watching Bear and Les...although I think Les has a harder time of it, since he is out there alone.
Bear can be a little intense. I like the one where he finds a dead camel and then guts it so he can sleep inside of its body cavity.
    Good stuff!

  5. Thanks for starting my Monday off with such a great visual. It was so unexpected that it made me laugh out loud. Now Robert is curious about what I'm looking at, but I'll never tell - that drives him crazy! We all like to torture Robert in the office...

  6. LM - I'm a little late to the game, I just started watching (and I usually don't watch Oprah... comes on before I get home), but I would love to have seen it. The Grid show does sound interesting.

    Bendigo - Sorry... *innocent grin*

Erin - Is there a good sweetener that doesn't wreak havoc on the body?

Joe - As icky as that sounds, when it's do or die that's pretty brilliant. I'm still crushing... he'd have to take a couple of showers after that, but I still wouldn't kick him out of bed. Him or Mike Rowe... filthy, but yum.

Greg - Shoot... Robert has worse (and far more detailed) stories... I swear one of those poop stories was his...
