When Bob got to come home unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago, we decided to get hitched. Just as a large wedding can cause all kinds of headaches, so, it seems, can a small wedding. I think people expected me to get all giddy and gush about how beautiful the dress was, the decadent food, the poignant service... but it was just the two of us and it was a very casual ceremony. I didn't waste money on a dress I would wear once... I've already had a big wedding. Neither of us wanted that. Truth be told it doesn't feel any different except I have a ring and my last name has changed. That's not to say I'm not happy about it, I am... I've just been very happy for a long time now. :)
I'm back on a seed buying frenzy. All kinds of vegetables and trees and flowers. All kinds of interesting things you just don't see at the nurseries around here. We eventually want a lot of land, and I want it to be interesting to look out from the house and see color at all times of year... apple blossoms, cherry blossoms, flowering almonds, japanese maples, sycamores, dogwood, forsythia, jasmine, honeysuckle, blackberries, blueberries, figs, avocados... tomatoes of course, and other veggies. Right now about all I have in the ground is tomatoes. I wasn't going to go overboard like I did last year, but four tomato plants sprung up all on their own, so once again... I have eight. Which I can more than handle. I love tomatoes. This year I planted black krim, chocolate Cherokee, Mr. Stripey and a BLUE tomato. Yes blue. Look how gorgeous! More pics, bluer pics. I think the others are going to be a small pear shaped yellow tomato that was pretty prolific last year. I forgot to collect the seeds, so I got lucky... I won't make that mistake again this year.
Had to get a new computer... mine totally crapped out. This one is a Dell. I'm having to get used to a different keyboard placement and a new operating system, but so far I'm happy. I loved my VAIO, I just didn't have the money to get another one right now.
Anyway, just dropping in for a bit. Gonna go catch up on some blogs, and some gardening. Decided to relax this weekend. Things have been very stressful lately and I need some R&R!
