246 - More Cheating

Running behind tonight... I took a 2-1/2 hour nap after dinner and my day is gone. Terry is letting me beta read his book, so I need to get started on Chapter one (it's exciting to be a beta reader!).

One time, my parents and I set out on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation to a state park and a waterfall and it was one of those trips where everything that could go wrong... did. One cool thing was that we got to see the moving Vietnam wall exhibit... it was amazing, and sad... it went on and on with name after name. Dad looked for names he served with but didn't find any. I think that was a good sign.

So to cap it off, at the end of the trip, we're coming home and run into a major hailstorm... I took this pic and it is one of my favorite pics, it's very atmospheric.

  3. It looks like a scene from a Hitchcock movie - surreal and eerie. I think you could sell that one.

  6. Very cool pic...the waviness of the glass makes it look surreal. We love Texas weather, right?

  7. Awesome photo, Kristy. I assume the wavy thing is water droplets on the lens, right?

And thank you very much for beta reading my manuscript! I promise not to keep you from your other friends -- for too long. ;)

  8. Ally - I know! I wish I could take credit for it, but the camera did all the work

Ms. A - Nah, I'll still make time for you

Robyn - If my book ever got published I think that might have been the cover

Jerry - I always did go out and play... unless there was thunder and lightning

TS - I like that description!

Joe - It's actually the water sheeting down the glass (car window). But I do love that old fashioned wavy glass with the little bubbles in it, I bet that'd make for some cool pics.

Terry - On the window -- no way in hell I was rolling that window down! Thank YOU for letting me read it. I'm loving it so far!

Have you ever heard or thunder snow?
its rare but it's when a thunderstorm happens during a snow storm, lightning and thunder strike when it's snowing. How awesome would that be to get a pic of?
